Construction Superintendent

This role with require high amounts of Travel! First project is based in California. Will hire from anywhere in the US.


We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate a diverse team of subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Manage daily operations on the construction site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and maintain detailed reports.
  • Lead and manage onsite construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
  • Perform quality control inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed.
  • Maintain project documentation and records accurately.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients on the job site.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and address any concerns promptly.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to various project sites as needed.
  • Ability to stay onsite for the duration of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably with experience in managing hotel renovations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification, First Aid/CPR certification, and other relevant certifications are a plus.
